Long Table 172. NUMMI DIGITALI: The Coin Cabinet Of Archaeological Museum “A. Salinas” Of Palermo

NUMMI DIGITALI is a project that aims to expand the access to the numismatic collection at the Museum “A. Salinas” of Palermo. The project has successfully produced an open-source, digital database that utilizes high resolution images and 3D renderings. Each object is further contextualized in a way that aims to make the data interoperable and shareable. Lavinia Sole, NUMMI DIGITALI Project Coordinator, will present the structure and functionality of the database, while Dario Giuffrida (IPCF-CNR, Institute for Chemical-Physical Processes, Messina) will illustrate the innovative solution for creating 3D models.
