David Hill, MA, MLS Harry W. Bass Jr. Librarian and Archivist
David oversees the satellite operation of the Newman Numismatic Portal. He has had over 25 years of experience working with books and archival materials, having held positions at the Columbia University Archives and Columbiana Library, the Berkshire County Historical Society in Massachusetts, the Westchester County Archives, and Iona College Library in New Rochelle, New York. He has been with the ANS since 2010. His numerous articles on numismatics, numismatic literature, and numismatic personalities have appeared in ANS Magazine and The Asylum.
David Hill’s main research interest is the history of numismatics, particularly the people, artistic developments, and organizations of the United States. He seeks, in particular, to extract the stories held by the Society’s library and archives and make them available to a wide readership so they can enlighten and inspire others.
