Another muling (TURPENTINE WORKS, NEWBERN. N.C.) is dated 1862. All these mul- ings were made after 1860, or after the coverage of this reference book.The Apollo Garden is listed in the 1863 Boston directory as a restaurantand billiard saloon at 576 Washington Street, under the proprietorship of Charles Hess and Leopold Speidel.
