Description

This medal was issued during the reign of Catherine II to commemorate the coronation of Catherine I. The die stamps for this medal were executed by J. Balthasar Gass (obverse) and Georg Waechter (reverse) both of whom were active at St. Petersburg Mint during 1770s.
