  • This U.S. Army Distinguished Service Cross medal was made in the United States. It was designed by Capt. Aymar Embury based upon sketches by Col. J. R. M. Taylor. It is the current style of the medal and is marked "FOR EXHIBIT PURPOSES ONLY" as required when sent to ANS in 1919 by U.S. Army.
