'The I. Gibbs USM Stage piece could have been issued as early as 1831. An advertisement in an 1831 newspaper publicized John
Gibbs' Belleville to Newark (3 miles) and Belleville to New York (8 miles) stages. John Gibbs moved to New York in 1846. Previous
editions of this [Rulau] catalog listed the I. Gibbs piece under New York City, but we now believe that Atwood was in error
in assigning it there, as the headquarters of the stage line apparently was in Belleville, New Jersey.' [Standard Catalog
