The history of numismatics in Sweden can be said to start in the first half of the seventeenth century, during the reigns of King Gustavus Adolphus and his daughter and successor queen, Christina. Uppsala University Coin Cabinet was subsequently founded toward the end of that century. Join their Senior Curator Ragnar Hedlund for a tour through the collections of Uppsala University that illustrates Sweden’s numismatic history.
