90. Ohio State fair and Industrial Exposition medal.
The 1896 Ohio State Fair, held in Columbus, marked the fiftieth anniversary of the Ohio State Board of Agriculture. It is another one of Brenner’s early, pre-Paris works that he had the confidence to show more than a decade and a half later. As a group they represent some of the best hand-engraved die-work that was done at that time, and Brenner’s reputation for it brought him commissions originating far from New York City.
