56. C. Delacour, Esq., sculptor, Paris. Plaquette.

Clovis Delacour (1859-1929) was a French sculptor and ivory carver who was also a member of the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Brenner may have used his studio when he first arrived in Paris. Done in 1899, the portrait depicts Delacour with one of his ivories, Diana the Huntress.
