American Numismatic Society, 1987.147.7.

41. Fine Craftsmanship medal, awarded to the public schools of New York.

Brenner donated his work for this medal when it was instituted in 1909. Originally known as the School Art League Fine Craftsmanship Medal, it became known as the Haney Medal in 1923, in honor of the painter, James Parton Haney (1869-1923), who was the first chairman of the board of managers of the School Art League. It is still awarded today.
