142. Statuette. “Music”
In a Brooklyn Daily Eagle review of the National Arts Club exhibition immediately following this show (May 8-June 1, 1912) the reviewer says “’Music’ is a graceful figure, suggesting rhythm and motion, and it is charming and uplifting.” This is probably the companion figure to the Faun for the Schenley Fountain in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (see #141). Images in the Juley Archive at the Smithsonian clearly show that there were single-figure statuettes of the musician.
