Long Table 143. The Late Seleucids in Antioch and Damascus: A Revision Through Die Studies—POSTPONED

Friday, June 23
1:00 PM ET

Panagiotis Iossif, Curator of Antiquities at the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens, will consider the new data which illuminates the history of the late Seleucids, specifically in Antioch and Damascus. These coins help us to better understand how the late Seleucids used their numismatic (and financial) resources in the reduced territory of a kingdom aspiring to its past glory. Iossif will also present the  preliminary results of unpublished and ongoing die studies from both mints.

ANS Members only. A link will be sent to members the day of the event.
