About SCO

Seleucid Coins Online (SCO) is a component project of the larger Hellenistic Royal Coinages (HRC) project directed by Dr. Peter van Alfen and Ethan Gruber based at the American Numismatic Society. SCO has been developed by Oliver Hoover while the web database, based on the Numishare platform, has been developed by Ethan Gruber. Early support for the project was provided by Arthur Houghton and Mary Lannin.

Emma Pratte and Alan Roche are responsible for the photographs of ANS coins. Disnarda Pinilla was instrumental in organizing material for SCO both within the ANS collection and in the underlying data. Dr. Fédérique Duyrat and Dr. Louis Brousseau have catalogued and digitized the material at the Bibliothèque nationale de France. Prof. Bernhard Weisser and Dr. Karsten Dahmen have catalogued and digitized the material at the Münzkabinett of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. Amelia Dowler is the British Museum's current curator with responsibility for Seleucid coins.

Mark Pyzyk drew the monograms, and Oliver Hoover organized and integrated them into the SCO type records.
