Domenico Facci was a sculptor, medalist, and painter as well as a teacher at Roerich Academy of Art in New York City. He was born in Hooversville, Pennsylvania, in 1916 and died in 1994.

Biographical Note

Domenico Facci was a sculptor, medalist, and painter as well as a teacher at Roerich Academy of Art in New York City. He was born in Hooversville, Pennsylvania, in 1916 and died in 1994.

Scope and Content Note

Thirty-one 8x10 photographs of 13 sketches produced by Salvador Dali as designs for Homage to Israel medals commemorating the 25th anniversary of the State of Israel in 1973. The photographs were used by sculptor Domenico Facci to produce the bas reliefs for the medals. Also includes three letters and a bill pertaining to Facci’s work and a promotional booklet.
