J. Colvin Randall (d. 1901) was a Philadelphia numismatist and coin dealer who was an expert in die varieties of American coins.
Contains three notebooks with handwritten labels: (1) “Types & Varieties of U.S. Gold & Silver” lists coins from 1794 to 1884; (2) “Proof Sets” has notes on U.S. silver, gold, and minor or base sets from 1857 to 1898; and (3) “Proof Sets &c” lists the number of gold, silver, and base sets from the Philadelphia Mint from 1874 to 1898.
