The Trustees and staff of the American Numismatic Society are saddened by the passing of two important numismatic figures. Mr. Joseph R. Lasser, former Council Member, scholar, collector, benefactor and friend to the American Numismatic Society, passed away in January. Dr. William L. Bischoff, former ANS Curator of Modern Coins and friend to the Society, passed away in December. Their deaths leave an enormous gap in the numismatic world. More in depth obituaries will be included in the upcoming ANS Magazine.
