American Numismatic Society Director Ute Wartenberg Kagan unveiled the new interactive ANS collection search tool, MANTIS ( MANTIS (Mantis: A Numismatic Technologies Integration Service) provides access to all 600,000 records for objects in the ANS collection, through a series of new, easy-­‐to-­‐use search screens. 2010 Huntington Medal Award and Silvia Mani Hurter Memorial Lecture

On Wednesday, April 27th, the ANS will award the 2010 Huntington Medal to Professor Christof F. Boehringer. The Huntington Medal Award is conferred annually in honor of the late Archer M. Huntington in recognition of outstanding career contributions to numismatic scholarship. Professor Boehringer is one of Germany’s most famous numismatic scholars, specializing in Hellenistic coinage and Sicilian numismatics. Professor Boehringer will present Greek coinages of Sicily at the end of the fifth century B.C.

Mark M. Salton Memorial Lecture
