Mid-Year Appeal 2009

Like every other institution of its kind, the ANS has suffered losses to its endowment in recent months. Within the library this has meant that we are without a permanent, full-time cataloger. We recently hired a part-time cataloger with an excellent background in library studies as well as a range of linguistic abilities that will be an asset to the growth of the library. To continue to catalogue and index as we have in the past, we need either to raise funds to employ a permanent cataloguer, or to consider introducing a charge for the use of this valuable resource. A donation of $100 could fund a part-time cataloger for a day, while a $2,000 gift would fund a full month of work. Any donation, however small, will help to sustain this service free of charge to the public.
