Exhibition Closing

This is your last chance to view our current exhibition, 100 Years of Solicitude: Collecting by the New York Numismatic Club This exhibition, generously sponsored by Numismatica Genevensis SA and members of the New York Numismatic Club, will be on view through January 15th, 2009. Visitors will see some extraordinarily beautiful coins, medals and orders from some of the most prominent collectors in New York.

New Publication

A pre-publication discount is available on the American Numismatic Society's upcoming book: The Athenian Decadrachm by Wolfgang Fischer-Bossert. The discount is available only to orders postmarked by December 31, 2008. After December 31st, the price for this title will be $95 for non-members and $66.50 for members.

Limited Edition Levick Plate

ANS member James A. Neiswinter has recreated Joseph N.T. Levick's 1869 "Types and Varieties of the U.S. Cent, 1793" plate (see page 69 of ANS Magazine, Volume 7 Number 2). A limited edition (100) of these plates will be available through the ANS for $100. Plate reproductions are in color, mounted on ivory paper and feature all twenty-two known 1793 varieties, issued in the same format as the original. They are numbered and will come with a key showing both Sheldon and Breen numbers, as well as rarity ratings.
