Ethan is the Web and Database Developer for the ANS. With more than five years of experience in digital humanities and cultural heritage web development projects, Ethan is responsible for developing a new public interface for the society's collections of objects and archives. He is the chief architect of Numishare, an open-source framework for delivering coin collections online, which originated during his tenure in the Scholars' Lab at the University of Virginia Library.

Ethan is also a part-time graduate student in the classical art and archaeology program at the University of Virginia, where he applies his technical abilities to academic projects, including the digitization of the University of Virginia Art Museum numismatic collection and several 3D modeling projects: Pompeii's House of the Faun and the House of the Drinking Contest near Antioch. He specializes in the recontextualization of art within built environments through lighting simulation. Ethan is also member of the Pompeii Forum Project and will contribute 3D models as part of its final publication.
